Design system reference guide

The design system and the pattern library that it supports, are intended to be a single point of reference for the HTML, CSS and JavaScript that can be used as a foundation for building new digital experiences for the University of St Andrews.

This design system website has been created to provide detailed explanations on how best to use the various user interface elements and, equally importantly, when not to use them. It is intended to be a reference guide for both content creators and developers to understand the design system's fundamentals and the range of components on offer. This knowledge can then be used to make best of use of the pattern library and to also extend it for new digital projects.
